Kate Morgan, a key member of our South Wales team is abandoning the Welsh hills on an epic adventure. With a very personal cause at heart, Kate is joining 33 other passionate individuals to cycle 400km through Vietnam and Cambodia. Ranging from 23 to 73, the group expect to cover approximately 50 miles a day for 9 days, all in aid of the Paul Sartori Foundation Hospice Care.

The Paul Sartori Foundation is a Hospice at Home Service, offering unusually high levels of support and a range of services to people living with life-limiting illness. Each member of the group has been touched by the foundation’s work in some way. Kate describes her experience,

“In November 2014 I learned I had cancer, but 2 operations and a good toasting of radiotherapy, along with wonderful care, I am now clear. I know I was very lucky, and many of us have been touched by the wonderful work of Paul Satori looking after friends and family. Raising funds to support this amazing organisation is my way of celebrating my recovery”.

Not only does this challenge celebrate her recovery, but it also acts as a show of hope for others suffering from the dreaded ‘c’ word. We are extremely proud of Kate here at Blas ar Fwyd and wish her all the best in her challenge. With long days ahead of them, many rolling hills and hot, humid conditions we know it won’t be easy.

If you would like to support Kate in reaching her goal of £5,000; a large chunk of the collective £70,000 goal, please do so through the following link.

Every penny and word of encouragement is sincerely appreciated, thank you.
