WINE DINNER AMSER DA - 11 October 2025

Aperitif: Pant Du, Gwin Pefriog Gwyn Sparkling White    £35.00
Pant Du, Gwin Pefriog Gwyn Sparkling White

A traditional fermented sparkling wine. The hints of crisp green apple and stone fruit on the palate are complimented by classic biscuits and brioche character. It’s fresh, rich, rounded and full of complexity.

1st course: Smoked Trout, horseradish cream
Weingut Koster-Wolf, Flonheimer Rothenpfad, Riesling Halbtrocken

Weingut Koster-Wolf, Flonheimer Rothenpfad, Riesling Halbtrocken (Germany)    £14.75
Fresh and lively with a delicate peach and apricot aroma with hints of flint. A refreshing palate and a lively clean finish.

2nd course: Prawn Chilli Garlic
Cadus Tunuyan Criolla Chica

Cadus Tunuyan Criolla Chica (Argentina)    £22.00
A refreshing change in style to stereotypical full bodied Argentinian reds. This wine exhibits a pretty aroma profile of raspberry compote with fresh red fruits on the palate and crunchy acidity. Think somewhere between Gamay and Cinsault. Criolla has been in Argentina for quite a long time, originally used as Holy Communion wine, this one comes from 50+year old vines.

3rd course: Butternut & Cumin Soup
San Marzano 'Edda Lei Bianco', Salento

San Marzano 'Edda Lei Bianco', Salento (Italy)    £22.00
A distinctive blend delivering aromas of sun-ripened peach and mellow floral aromatics, which are interwoven with delicate hints of vanilla. Fresh and beautifully balanced, the rounded palate is elegantly styled and has a touch of minerality on the finish.

4th course: Seabass with Butter sauce
Jako Vino, Stina 'Cuvee White', Dalmatia

Jako Vino, Stina 'Cuvee White', Dalmatia (Croatia)    £21.00
A youthful yet complex nose delights with layers of floral hints with tropical notes of apricot and mango. The full bodied palate is dry, refreshingly balanced and full of juicy yellow fruits with citrus hints on the lingering finish.

5th Course: Duck Maigret, blackcurrant sauce
Kuzubag, Denizli, Kalecik Karasi

Kuzubag, Denizli, Kalecik Karasi (Turkey)    £18.75
Made from the indigenous Kalecik Karasi grape, this wine shows a lovely combination of forest fruit and clove notes, fresh and balanced with a long finish. With its refined plum colour, a blast of forest fruit aromas on the nose and clove notes on the back palate, this wine’s tannins are balanced with a lively acidity, medium tannins and a long finish.

6th course: Caws Glas Bara Brith
Les Pins de Tirecul La Graviere Monbazillac 50cl

Les Pins de Tirecul La Graviere Monbazillac 50cl (France)    £18.00
More of a tropical, laid back feel to this - pineapple fruit with bright acidity to keep you coming back for more. Robert Parker compared the sweet wines of Tirecul as the most notable sweet wines from anywhere in the world. Les Pins is the estate's entry level sweet wine.

7th course: Sticky Toffee Pudding
Krohn, Tawny Port
Krohn, Tawny Port (Portugal)    £18.00
Tawny-red in colour with aromas of caramel, butterscotch, currants and spice. The palate is sweet and smooth with rich red fruits backed by a nutty character. Full and textural balanced by an elegant finish.
