SOUTH AMERICAN WINE TASTING - 19.09.2025

Our first tasting of the autumn will concentrate on wines from two South American countries.
Argentina
has a well-established reputation for its viniculture, particularly its dark and fruity Malbecs, though it also produces quality wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Torrontés and Pinot Noir grapes.
CADUS
Cadus is a perfectly formed winery near Tupungato, in the shadow of the Andes Mountains, within the Uco Valley in Argentina. This high altitude region has quickly built a reputation as the home of premium Mendozan wines and the Cadus range is no exception.
Uruguay
is perhaps less well known than Argentina but is increasingly well renowned for full-bodied high tannin wines from its signature Tannat grape - the country's 'national grape'. It also produces great Albariños, Merlots and Cabs Sauvignon and Franc.
PISANO
Located on the Rio de la Plate in Uruguay, Pisano belongs to a group of small family vignerons with an artisan tradition of making wines that reflect the character of the land and the people who make them.
