John Farrand, the Managing Director of The Guild of Fine Food - who organise the World Cheese Awards -  also paid tribute to Deiniol on the night:

"Deniol Ap Dafydd, who has worked tirelessly to promote not just cheese but artisan food and drink in Wales, must get a mention.  Deniol, although he may not think so, taught me (in no uncertain terms) an awful lot about the indigenous food and drink, the politics and the proud community of Wales, when the Guild of Fine Food supported the True Taste Awards some twenty years ago.  Blas ar Fwyd do a great job."
