Blas ar Fwyd are delighted to win another two Great Taste Awards to add to their stable of artisan Great Taste award-winning foods.

Cheese and Ham Quiche - 2 stars
"An attractive quiche, this has an appealing colour and is generously filled. It is really appetising, wit a thin crust, that looks inviting, and doesn't disappoint on eating. This scores a lot of points. The generosity of the ham pieces adds to the overall texture. The quality of the ingredients helps to buld the overall flavour profile, which is incredibly well executed."
"A great 'for one' sized quiche, this has a buttery and cheesy aroma, and a sweet taste with flavoursome pastry. The ham and onion add a balanced character to the savoury quiche, A really well-made and tasty product."
"A charming-looking quiche, this has well-cooked pastry with a generous addition of ham visible on the top. There is good delivery of cheese and onion in the aroma. The pastry is a touch soft underneath the filling on the bottom. We'd like more impact in the flavour from the cheese - the ham is the main flavour. It has a well set filling."

Rich Fruit Cake - 1 star
"There is plenty of plump fruit in this cake, which slices and portions very well. The levels of flavour finish beautifully with the brandy. It takes you straight to Christmas! All the fruit is bursting with juicy flavour and the level of spice is spot on. One judge really loved it and that judge doesn't usually like fruit cake!"
"This traditional looking cake is full of fruit and nicely dark in colour. The aroma is slightly alcoholic and the texture richly moist. The flavour is deep and, together with the texture, is tending towards an 'adult only' cake, full of dark places where the flavour reigns."
