Wind buffeted Chardonnay vines cling for dear-life to a precipitous Helderberg mountainside overlooking False Bay. The result is finely tuned, elegant grapes but at yields so small that their continued viability is questioned after each harvest. Hence the name.
Bright straw with green tinges. Notes of honeysuckle, verbena and passion fruit and subtle oak on the nose. A rich and well-structured wine with a rounded palate lifted by fresh acidity.
