Tasting Note: Light red Gamay from Touraine in the Loire, fresh and fruity, oozing red cherries and cranberries and toughened up by a hit of flint.

Food Matching: Drink it lightly chilled (but not too cold) with white meats, grilled foods including summer vegetables.

Vineyard: The soil in Touraine is highly varied, with flinty clays, clay limestone on a chalk bed, and sand on flint to the east, as well as gravel stones and sand.

Vinification: Fermented in stainless steel tanks. No oak ageing
