Awarded in July 2023, Welsh Whisky is now the 20th Welsh PGI.
The Welsh Whisky industry has developed rapidly in the last twenty years and Welsh Whisky is regarded as a quality spirit with demand increasing every year.
There are a broad range of flavours and styles of Welsh whisky, catering to most palates.
The PGI applies to products from five whisky distilleries: Aber Falls, Coles, Da Mhile, In The Welsh Wind and Penderyn.
